While Armies, Banks and Corporations rule the world I see little hope for a puffing Peace Train to arrive, so excuse me if I hang on and sit these wars out. #InternationalPeaceDay#Peace#PeaceTrain
@LibbyMbc This lady was a warrior and I am so very sorry for your loss. I’m thousands of miles away but followed her brave journey. Rest in peace Libby. Wishing you all peace and courage in the future.
I do not feel the need to rush the seasons.
Time falls away from me like the end of a rope
Ever faster nearing the end of its coil,
The tail of which I cannot grasp.
I will instead focus on the moments between
The breaths and heart beats,
In them find the hushed joy.
Today I reached a huge milestone with my fundraiser, $30,000 (cad). Thank you to all who have believed in me enough to donate/share. Who have hoped I will make it to the clinical trial and wanted me to hope too. Next big milestone is $50,000, every penny and every share helps.
Tonight Violet and I made a Christmas wish for all the families dealing with cancer that they would have a magical Christmas and find better treatments soon. She used her giant magic wand to make sure it comes true #Christmaswish#cancer#mommingwithmets#metastaticbreastcancer
The Home Secretary arriving by military helicopter in war-torn <checks notes> Kent.
67 miles from London. Takes 1h11m to get there by train, at a cost of £11.30.
What is so striking is how many conservative mps are still talking about what is “ best for the party”. It’s a real give away - that party still seemingly comes before country and constituents and democracy.
So…. We’re about to trust the direction of our country at this most important time, to a group of people who have consistently shown that they have horrific judgment and terrible priorities. I trust the people, time to let them decide.
I suspect Team Truss thought it less risky to put her in front of a bunch of local broadcasters than national ones (like me). After this morning, it won’t be making that mistake again!
The government has lost control of the economy. It’s going to mean higher mortgages and higher prices.
And what for?
Unfunded tax cuts for the one per cent.
They must recall parliament today and abandon this act of economic self-harm.
I fundamentally disagree with the Tories' trickle down fantasy economics.
Let’s recognise the people who are really building our economy: working people.
Just spoke to a Tory MP who told me “we ( Conservative party) are just a protectionist racket right now - a gang of marauding ambition - not a serious party”.
Fat Cat energy bosses are worried about profitability under a cloak of concern for low income users.
They’ve ripped them off for years, electricity and gas more expensive with pre-payment meters.
Help is needed but spare us the crocodile tears of those charging soaring prices.
