"We've got the possibility and the opportunity within our roles to increase biodiversity and make habitats better and, luckily, we've been able to do that in the last few years at a great pace." #rewilding#conservationoptimism

Next time you’re in the British uplands, perhaps in one of our national parks, Dartmoor, say, or the Lake District, stop a while to watch a flock of sheep, and count how many of them are limping.
You’ll find it’s a lot. Because keeping sheep year-round in our bleak uplands is an animal welfare issue on a huge scale, hidden in plain sight.
I’ve been in trouble with the sheep lobby on X for saying this.

@AdamP1242 @SammyCarrick @ToonPolls Sorry but that doesn’t answer the question. I’ve no points and can’t get away tickets / even though Id like to go. I’ve been at lots of away matches whilst we were terribly and recently but always on someone’s else’s points or corporate. So …. How did you get those points?
Erect. Principled. Brave. Mary Colwill talking about curlew conflict. Their preservation in landscapes otherwise blighted by game control. By changing farmlands,by the despicable afforestation of their wetlands by dank ranks of alien trees. Their life force strident slipping away
IF NOT NOW, WHEN? Brilliant weekend at #keepitwild 's wildfest. The hopeful tales of bison, bustards and beavers was a good tonic😁. Much talk about the urgent need to bring more people into nature's corner, including our worryingly indifferent politicians.😬
@nufctrust I can’t get my head around this. I’ve paid for my seat for 19 games. I’ve been given a credit card style ticket. If I can’t go to a game I’ve given (or sold) only to someone I know, cos if I don’t know them how do I get my season ticket back. If I can’t go there’s a reason why
@nufctrust@StuBaister How does one do this! Like mots if people I have 2 season tickets and take business contacts/ friends /family…… is this bring stopped? Why??
"BATHING WATERS IN THE BEST STATE EVER", screams the minister "last year 93% were classified as ‘good’ or ‘excellent’".
That's an impressive number; or is it? Your short 🧵for a Sunday morning. (1/7)
The final piece in the puzzle that is NUCASTLE....
