'There's people who claim to be articulating disgust at the murderous attack on innocent children, articulating their disgust by attacking a hotel which contains innocent children.'
@mrjamesob wonders if there is 'any possibility of reaching these people', as riots continue.

I have been coaching football at multiple levels for years but this year was the first year I've coached girls. My girls are 8 years old and to be honest, I didn't know what to expect. One of the things that shocked me almost immediately was that girls at this age are already aware they aren't given the same respect as boys in sport. I can't even begin to tell you how many times i heard one of my girls say after they scored or done something good along the lines off "see, i'm as good as a boy", it actually really started to depress me. It was obviously a projection of their internal pain due to experiences, their desire to be seen just as an equivalent and one of those girls was my Daughter. I remember the first time I asked her if she wanted to play Football, she said to me "girls don't play football, Dad", when i showed her videos on YouTube, i will never in my life forget the smile that came across her face, i also learned in that moment how important representation is to people. Joey Barton is a Father and an ex pro, he has the potential to inspire young boys and girls but instead chose to attack women with 19th century ignorance. Whatever he thinks, what he said will almost certainly hurt his Daughter deeply and legitimize every Neanderthal idiot in youth sports who already make life so difficult for girls. Our kids are so emotionally vulnerable right now, they're bombarded from the internet in a way people over 35 never where, most are insecure about their bodies and there are so few places left that accept them for exactly who they are. I really don't understand people who are threatened by the progress of others who are different to them.
@YorkshireWater@PepperPot71 Good. It’s taking a ridiculous amount of time to sort. Whenever I walk past the repair men they are sat in van doing nothing
