Heartbroken and angered by the recent events in our community: Austin reels with 4 dead, 1 injured, and 2 officers hurt; San Antonio grieves 2 more lost. This chain of violence tearing through our communities must end. https://t.co/IgarC0yF75
Extended: rain chances continue off and on this weekend. A very strong cold front barrels thru Sunday afternoon and brings us winter-like conditions for early next week. Temps holding in the 40s on Monday with wind and light rain.
Early voting is underway now until 11/3, and Election Day is 11/7. I hope you'll vote, and please vote FOR propositions A and B to invest in much-needed transportation infrastructure and parks, trails and open space. Endorsed by the Statesman, Chronicle and 50 community groups!
@kelseyhuse30 4/ FWIW, around 70% of the transportation investments in Prop. A would be east of IH-35, where most growth has occurred, and where we’ve underinvested in infrastructure in the past. Thanks and I hope you’ll vote for Prop. A!
@kelseyhuse30 3/ The fact is that more than 150 people move to Travis County every day, and most of them bring cars, so we do need to make capacity and safety improvements to our roadways, as well as delivering more and better active transportation alternatives like bike lanes.
@kelseyhuse30 2/ Not everyone loves roads and not everyone loves bike lanes, but I think we need both, plus sidewalks and shared use paths, to give people the options they want and need to get where they’re going.
@kelseyhuse30 Hey Kelsey, I hope you’ll vote for Prop. A because Travis County has grown dramatically in the 6 years since our last County bond propositions and in my view we urgently need these transportation investments (along with the parks and open space investments in Prop. B) to keep up.
WATCH 🌧️ The first flow in the Barton Creek Greenbelt in months, thanks to overnight rain! This was recorded near MoPac in south Austin. https://t.co/32TKIi5CGb

One week ago we launched our campaign to defeat Ted Cruz and ensure that Texans have a Senator who cares about serving them.
I've been humbled by the outpouring of support we've received so far. Let's keep it going—join our team: https://t.co/2dROrrPU0n
28 Members of the TX House, including myself, sent a letter to the Calendars Committee requesting HB 2744 & HB 220 to move from committee to the House Floor. Mass shootings & gun violence have become far too prevalent in Texas. We ask that the #Txlege make this a priority.
