Just received an email from a client thanking me for my work. One of their colleagues connected an infected PC to the network and quickly encrypted all contents of their Samba share. As soon as they realized, they disconnected but some files were lost. Thanks to my setup and #FreeBSD's #zfs #snapshot feature, they restored everything in just a few minutes. Another happy user, another thwarted attack. It's heartening to be appreciated for what you've done, even if it's 'different from what everyone else says to do'.
