If you want to become a full time video editor in 2024, here’s the 3-step roadmap:

1. Master Adobe Premiere Pro & After Effects — to a point where you feel super comfortable navigating the software

- Download free project files from giveaways
- Do not let a day go by without editing
- Learn the latest editing styles like Dan Koe, Iman Gadzhi, Ali Abdaal, etc. (I don’t make the rules :)

2. Build your X account -– building an audience is no longer an option.

- Download my free templates (link in bio)
- Write 1 tweet daily
- Engage with similar accounts

3. Apply relentlessly — the beginner’s hell sucks but you gotta get through it

- send cold DMs (i’ll release a template soon)
- apply to jobs on freelance marketplaces
- apple to full-time jobs on LinkedIn or Indeed
- do free work and send it to people

Will every attempt be a success? Hell no.

But, committing to this path means more than just editing videos.

It's about building a sustainable career that has a potential to grow for many years to come.
