Flew @airindia from DEL to GOX. We had 2 people in wheelchairs, and were a bit late arriving, but the ground staff at IGIA Terminal 3 rushed us through check-in and boarding. The cabin crew were wonderful and the food was great. Excellent experience! #FlyAI
A massive fire broke out in a children's hospital in Delhi.
The hospital had no valid fire safety license and no fire exits.
Seven babies died. Seven tiniest of them. Imagine the suffering. Imagine the plight of the parents. It is heartbreaking...and pathetic.
The Neonatal ICU (NICU) - one of the most precious parts of a hospital, one place where an extreme form of decision making skills, competency and clinical acumen is required was manned by an Ayurveda practitioner - not a real doctor.
I do not blame the poor fellow. He is not a doctor. But the medical system in India made him believe he was one. Ayurveda practitioners (who are not doctors) are not even trained to diagnose a passing flu, or treat a wart, much less take care of an NICU. I mean, what is the whole point of grilling this young Ayurveda graduate now?
Grill and roast the Government and the Health Ministry who are making such "doctors" every year. On an average, about 20,000 alternative medicine graduates and 2000 alternative medicine post-graduates pass out from various Ayush institutions each year. For what?
To witness deaths of new borns?
To mislead people on social media?
To sell their ignorance as treatments to a scientifically illiterate population?
F*ucking chaos.
Nationalism, culture, religion, tradition - did any of these save any of those babies?
A science trained, competent, compassionate duty doctor would have, for sure!
Ayurveda practitioners are so arrogant because of their indoctrination and ignorance that they will go to any lengths to defend their incompetency. Like this guy in Court. He said the babies did not die because of the fire, they died of suffocation. They are that thick skulled. He was also so stupid that when the fire broke, instead of calling police/ fire services, he called the hospital owner and wasted half hour which could have been used to shift babies to safety. The stupidity does not end there. When asked why he wasted so much of time doing total bull crap, he said that he was a trainee there and was looking to study the ways of modern medicine. Then why in the absolute hell did he waste 5.5 years studying glorious ancient Ayurveda?
Who is to blame here? The indoctrinated made to look like an idiot alternative medicine practitioner or a system that nurtures development and growth of such practitioners in India?
In a better world, one would ban Ayurveda and that nonsensical thing called Homeopathy and Siddha and Naturopathy and dismantle the Ayush Ministry, and stepwise convert these quackeries peddling colleges into rational institutes that teach science and medicine to students and graduates so that they become competent citizens.
I voted. But observed a disturbing trend.
The problem is that the BJ Party has muddied the waters in MH by design. I belong to the Shirur constituency where Amol Kolhe (NCP-Sharadchandra Pawar, with INDIA bloc) was against Adhalrao Patil (NCP-Ajit Pawar, with NDA).

This male sumatran orangutan is Raku: he got a wound on his right cheek. Scientists were surprised to spot him applying a medicinal plant on his face: akar kuning (Fibranaurea tinctoria), a type of climbing vine that acts as an analgesic.
After about 8 days he applied the chewed stems and leaves of the plant, the wound began to heal and in approximately a month he completely recovered.
This series of observations undoubtedly constitutes the conclusive proof of the level of ingenuity that these majestic animals have.
"And I hear the same point repeated by Indians everywhere, from my travels to the badlands of Bihar to gatherings of rich expats in Manhattan."🥱
Clearly Mr. Sharma's travels haven't been wide-ranging enough! One basic question he MIGHT have contemplated before making the "willing to trade-off democratic recession for economic growth" FALLACY:
In a country of 1.4 Billion people and diverse states, why do the most advanced states in India (on Education, Human Development, Social Development, and Economic progress) show FAR LESS enthusiasm for the "strongman" compared to the states with the lowest education/development levels and economic progress?
In 2019 it is largely those with the least progress (e.g. UP) that voted most heavily for the "Democratic Recession". Those with the most progress have voted strongly against it (e.g. 1 alliance MP (ADMK) out of 60 in Kerala, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry)
I must also add that the worst off have kept falling further behind in the 10 years of the "strongman" regime...so they clearly haven't gotten any relatively commensurate dividend for their relative willingness to forgo their democratic privileges

The way these "lawyers" argue in this clip should cause all Indians grave concern. The decay observable in so many aspects of our Democracy has clearly spread even to the Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court. Thankful that the CJI didn't allow this farce to be prolonged🙏
Delivering again on the commitment I made when I first ran for MLA in April 2016, the 15th edition of my 6-month performance report is distributed door by door across Madurai Central Constituency. I am grateful for the voters' continued support & trust🙏
