I have an update regarding this sunscreen controversy from 2021.
Kolmar Korea (the company that had their trade secrets stolen) won against Intercos in court and ordered them to discard the stolen information and pay for damages. Read more about it (ENG): https://t.co/VIak2PG1Ja
@chemistscorner I think there is a lack of cognitive dissonance in the pro. We are so scared to lose conference fundings etc that we let people present questionable science with pretty graphics as fact. Of course the consumer becomes misinformed if everyone pushes the same ingredient marketing.
@chemistscorner Ok but: 1) https://t.co/LMiuDvUljw, 2) https://t.co/euI9yhzwaZ . Are the consumers the main issue or maybe we can put some responsibility onto certain raw material manufacturers for example that say things like “botox in a jar” and “protects from 5G” under the guise of science.

7/n So this study says ~absolutely nothing~ about whether cold immersion improves health, because the authors literally did not analyze that question
Instead, they ran simple before/after analyses on their intervention and control
Complete waste of time
@MellilianFlyer @LabMuffin Hydroquinone is a drug here so that’s why it isn’t allowed in cosmetics. Depending on the country there are some over the counter medications with it available. Vitamin c and retinol are perfectly allowed in cosmetics.
@divya_sharmaMD@LabMuffin Toners can nowadays also be used to deliver lightweight hydration so imo it really depends on what the person wants, what is overrated for one will be very useful for someone else. Not everyone expects to reduce acne scars (or should from a cosmetic)..
Creators, don’t fall for this trap! A lot of brands do this and the terms and conditions are always absolutely wild. Exposure doesn’t pay your bills, but it’ll sure as hell pay theirs!
