@IrishRail the Westport train is running at least 13 minutes late. Will the Heuston - Waterford train wait at Kildare for people who are connecting there?

@RailUsersIe @vanderpuppy @IrishRail Thank you for the clarification. I found it hard to believe that it was legally acceptable for them to leave a teenager stranded at a station at night with no other bus or train connections.

@RailUsersIe @vanderpuppy @IrishRail Thank you for that @RailUsersIe. Both in person and on Twitter @irishrail staff explicitly said that it wasn’t their responsibility to arrange/pay for alternative transport. Would that be a contravention of passenger rights under EU law?

@IrishRail @IrishRail she bought ONE ticket from Clara to Kilkenny today. Your delay meant missed connection and she will be unable to get another train today. I understand there are lots of people stranded in Kildare now as a result. Can you please advise on EU compensation rules.
