@HDE_Sheraby I stock pile Bisto powder when I find it. The granule stuff is awful. I use the meat juice and some of the vegetable juice to make my gravy.

You need to check cooking time and oven temperature Gas mark 6 for 3hrs 36mins is far too long. Happily I knew mine was cooked over an hour and 20 minutes earlier so we had shredded lamb as it was too cooked to have sliced lamb. Disappointed as it was expensive but tasty. 2/2

@Tesco I treated us to Tesco Finest Lamb Shoulder with Cornish Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper £14.50. I followed the cooking instructions religiously. If I didn’t have the cooking experience that I have ex food teacher, I would have ended up with dried out burnt offerings. 1/2

@HDE_Sheraby Maybe that is their end goal but how will it be monitored and what would the punishment be for breaking the ban? It is a minefield especially as some pupils need their phones to monitor diabetes for example.

@HDE_Sheraby Schools individually set their own rules but the proposal from the government is guidance so doesn’t have to be imposed.

@HDE_Sheraby As a recently retired teacher responsible for safeguarding and behaviour I can confirm mobile phones are a major issue in schools. Use of social media caused so many problems & pupils who had issue with members of staff ringing mum who would come storming up to school.
