Boycott @SouthwestAir
They destroy travel instead of making it good.
They ruin family vacations for profit.
They take your money and promise a flight it is a lie.
@chicagosmayor It can’t be lost on folks that many many kids have had covid including mine (both vaccinated and boosted.) Kids do not wear their masks correctly most of the day (as reported by my two cps students) and take them off for lunch sitting shoulder to shoulder.
If you want to do something good today donate to my friend Jackie's second graders at O'Toole Elementary on Chicago's west side https://t.co/heJpZDGOi9 via @donorschoose
@chicagosmayor the lakefront is a litter disaster...we need a clean up the lakefront save the lake movement...every weekend morning pile upon pile of cups bottles plates napkins discarded barbecues foam coolers diapers!!! Single use plastic for miles...
@SSKedreporter Why hasn’t anyone mentioned the 7th and 8th graders in academic centers who are affected by the HS re-opening? My daughter is 12 and in 7th grade. Her in-person fate is being lumped in with high schoolers.
A few tips for the final countdown: this is prime time to pull the trigger on a sizable statement piece. These 4 selects are all available in big, punchy prints—30% off when you use code RESET by midnight tonight! @anntoebbe, #HilmaafKlint, @laventura, @RubenNatalSanM
. @AnnToebbe ’s “Michigan VRBO” is packed with visual Easter eggs—a chicken here, a fruit basket there—that (hot tip!) are even more enjoyable in larger sizes, should you be seeking a statement piece.

This month, we debuted a vintage figure skating scene, a powerful @EdelRodriguez image starring Lady Liberty, a 30s-era ode to letter-writing, and @anntoebbe ‘s perspectivally-playful print.

@SSKedreporter Well this thread was eye opening. Guess all these white a-holes should just go find a new school district. Nice bashing by the righteous.
@annbauerwriter The kids have been left behind. In addition to school being remote these districts canceled sports and all clubs etc. It is hypocritical and verges on cruelty to keep students isolated when the adults are not playing along.
@annbauerwriter Yet when it come to school there’s an absolute line drawn in the sand that it is too unsafe. We keep all of the above open for our mental health and to feel normal.
@annbauerwriter The people saying teachers should stay home to keep themselves and their families safe are going out and grocery shopping, going to medical appointments, likely eating out or meeting friends masked (kids will be masked!)
@chicagosmayor I was in my daughters's school mid-July and it was a mess. We have to live with the pandemic so where is the mobilization? Everyone knows remote learning is unsustainable and will fail thousands of students. Parents with resources are already organizing pods and tutors...
@chicagosmayor No mention of using the extra time to get school buildings ready for hybrid learning - social distancing markers? signs to remind students to wash hands and wear masks? classrooms arranged and re-ordered? fans and portable air filtration systems? masks offered and temp checks?
