Broken record here, but for the benefit of those who haven't seen my previous 50,000,000 tweets on this topic, the quoted tweet - or the version of it that pops up whenever an oyibo politician starts beating up the immigration scapegoat to win his next election - comes from a place of severe lack of self-awareness, which is the debilitating disease that afflicts so many Nigerian immigrants, particularly the recent ones in the UK.

FYI, none of what is explained here is news. Not to the British government (which created the system), not to the Nigel Farages of this world, and definitely not to the "ignorant white voters" whom you have spent decades "educating" about the contributions that immigrants make to the UK, only for them to consistently align with any politician who promises to make it possible for their country to have fewer people like you living in it.

You think they don't know that immigrants basically hold their society together by doing all the underpaid essential tasks that they thenselves won't do? You think they genuinely believe that the UK flings its borders open for destitutes from Darkest Africa to come in and live like kings with benefits and social housing on the tab of white taxpayers? You think they REALLY believe any of that right-wing rhetoric they've been spouting since the 1970s? You still haven't realised the game that is being played here? At this late geopolitical hour, you still don't get it?

If you don't get it, here's a cliff notes breakdown:

1.) The minute you landed in the UK, you stopped being "Tobiloba Chimezie Abdullahi, 35 year-old Project Manager and MSc degree holder," and you became one or both of the following identities: "Black Man" & "Immigrant."

2.) Your economic purpose as an immigrant is to perform low-wage essential tasks, or (if you are skilled and lucky enough) to occupy highly skilled roles while gladly accepting wages that are well below the western world's average for those roles. Long story short: CHEAP. LABOUR.

3.) Your political purpose as an immigrant is to be used as a political football between left and right wing, for the purpose of keeping the majority white population politically engaged. The right wing wants to use your presence to invoke nativist bigotries and replacement fear in the voters, which helps them vote right wing. The left wing wants to use your existence to appeal to the self-righteousness of liberal white voters, who vote left wing to prove that they are Very Enlightened And Better Than The Racist Right.

In reality, both formations are working together to use your existence as a giant political headfake to ensure that white majority voters never start to engage with the real issues that affect their lives, such as Britain's pro-war, neo-colonial foreign policy, or the fact that decades of deindustrialisation have left the UK as a paper-shuffling, import-dependent false economy sustained by an overvalued currency and the world HQ of money laundering.

The truth is that you were never welcome in their country - you were just temporarily useful. And just as they did to the Windrush generation, once the time comes for them to settle the bill they've incurred for using you like bathroom slippers through the best years of your life, they will shift the goalposts and cheat you - it's the oyibo way.

Instead of wasting precious time trying to explain what needs no explanation to disingenuous people, or trying to "integrate" into a country that will NEVER be yours even if you become Kemi Badenoch, the best thing to do with yourself is work, gather your capital, and repatriate it to Africa. You have an entire continent to build, with infinite upside, where nobody can hang deportation threats or eternal uncertainty over your head.

Collect what you went to oyiboland to collect, then LEAVE.

Stop trying to be recognised and respected by the people who published the racial hierarchy theories that Hitler merely borrowed.

Move on.
