Do customers now have to deposit ₹10 lakh just to open a bank account?...

A man visits a bank to open an account, but the bank employees allegedly tell him that his account cannot be opened at that moment.

When the customer asks why and explains that he needs to open the account immediately, an employee reportedly tells him that he must first deposit ₹10 lakh before the account can be opened!

The customer is left shocked and asks...

Is there really any bank rule that requires customers to deposit ₹10 lakh to open an account?

If such a rule exists, why isn't it clearly communicated to customers? And if there is no such rule, why is the customer being asked to deposit such a huge amount?
