Human rights depend on truth.
Today Genspect sent a formal legal letter to Amnesty International UK challenging its false allegations that we promote "conversion practices" and are part of an "anti-rights" movement. We have requested the withdrawal of these claims and a full explanation of the evidence relied upon.
WRN have today written to the CEO of @amnesty regarding their recent report.
We have asked for an explanation of our inclusion in their list of 'anti-rights' organisations. We expect evidenced reasons for their assertions - if they are prepared to publish such statements, then they must also be prepared to back them up.
If, as women are always told, there is NO CONFLICT between 'trans rights' and women's rights then Amnesty are wrong to characterise 'gender critical' women's rights groups as 'anti-rights'.
If there IS a conflict between 'trans rights' and women's rights then Amnesty has taken the side of 'trans rights' and is therefore anti-women's rights.
This would make Amnesty itself 'anti-rights'.
For years we were told that trans rights and women’s rights could not in any way be in conflict.
Amnesty's smearing of Beira's Place makes very clear that women's rights just don't count.
Your occasional reminder that the squeaky voice is caused by testosterone enlarging her vocal cords so they are suddenly too big for her slender neck. There are forums for transmen where throat pain is discussed extensively.
No-one tells these girls what they're in for.
Translation: oops, didn’t realise people outside our ideological bubble are THIS pissed off about the loss of sex-based rights. We remain implacably opposed to any organisation fighting to retain them, but shove in the words ‘rights of women’ to keep the bigots happy.
I’m shocked. No, really, I am. Who could possibly have predicted that taking testosterone would be bad for pregnant women? Why, you’d have to be actually psychic to have guessed that one. 🙄
What a load of wishful thinking. Men are not born with random genitals.
If you have to erase the identity and reality of men in order to "affirm" trans men as men, it really says everything we need to know.
