@Ignorem62281500 @bryantschaefer@anthonygonzalez@brianhartline The reason this matters, contrary to your arrogant dismissive take, is that claims of fraud are used to distort the vote by much larger amounts than the actual error introduced by fraud. That is the explicit 30 by Republicans. Are we to just ignore it? Say nothing?
@Ignorem62281500 @bryantschaefer@anthonygonzalez@brianhartline So by choosing “not to die” on this particular hill, you are ceding the argument to disingenuous forces who have a very clear anti-democratic agenda. That’s your right. I will make a different choice.
@Ignorem62281500 @bryantschaefer@anthonygonzalez@brianhartline I can pick any source of measurement error and claim “this must be stopped! It distort the signal!” As engineers know, this is almost always counter productive beyond a certain point. In this case, it is counter productive to democracy but highly productive to voter suppression.
You can feel the journalist laughing here by the way the quotations marks are placed - not the entire sentence quoted, but just this one clause. Kicker is who is being quoted. Great writing @politico !
