Started yet another homeless week today!
It would be nice if Brigham Young University spent a little less time monitoring students and a little more time monitoring their “approved” landlords.
@BYU your students need your protection
Also worth a read of you want to know where the Tibetan Plateau (TP) is and why it matters. Grateful to be able to have worked with such an amazing group of researchers!
Ever wonder what is going on with permafrost and organic carbon on the Tibetan Plateau? Such a pleasure working with Dr. Mu, @anorads, and others on this review. https://t.co/GgKRoMLC65
@Alpine80s@pdubdev@GovHerbert I didn't realize that you were an epidemiologist and could speak to the specific nature of Covid-19 in CA over the summer. My apologies. I'm only privy to published, peer reviewed data.
@Alpine80s@pdubdev@GovHerbert I am not pretending anything, but rather backing my views with facts. Real evidence, not just me making a claim, of Arizona. https://t.co/SpdOW5vqS8 As mentioned, I don't pretend to be an epidemiologist so I can't tease out the different interactions in CA.
@Alpine80s@pdubdev@GovHerbert https://t.co/GZkVnKQCPv gives a good report on many different peer reviewed studies better than a tweet can by itself. 2/2
@Alpine80s@pdubdev@GovHerbert I can't speak to the specifics of one state situation over another (not an epidemiologist), though 6-7 weeks seems suspicious timing with other events simultaneously happening. To not be redundant on the effectiveness of masks, there is evidence for masks 1/2
@Alpine80s@pdubdev@GovHerbert The part where you assume that they wouldn't have caught it if they didn't wear a mask. Just because they got it presumably at home (haven't read the whole study) doesn't mean that the mask was not effective when they were out and about wearing a mask.
@pdubdev@GovHerbert Also interesting about 50 percent of those cases included a family member was also reported to have Covid (from the data you posted). It seems like potentially, just maybe, they didn't get Covid while wearing a mask but rather from a family member at home.
