This evening, I joined distinguished guests, public servants and stakeholders at the Dinner and Award Night marking the grand finale of the 2026 Public Service Week celebrations. In appreciation of their hard work and unwavering service to our dear state, I announced the approval of the payment of 13th month salary for all Delta State civil servants. This decision reflects our administration’s enduring commitment to the welfare of our workforce.
For Democracy to flourish, there must be virile opposition parties, civil society and free press. These are elementary conversations in political science classes.
Anybody celebrating the Judgement against NDC doesn’t mean well for the future of Nigeria. Nigerians will not be respected if we continue to embarrass ourselves with judgements that are alien to even students of elementary law.
Today, I had the honour of commissioning the Osubi Branch of Zenith Bank, the only bank in Okpe Local Government Area.
This milestone holds great significance for the economic growth and development of the community and its surrounding areas, and its impact cannot be overemphasised.
We are deeply grateful to God for making this remarkable achievement possible.
This is the story everyone is talking about.
A small boy from Akwa Ibom is hawking sachet water (pure water) on the streets of Lagos.
After a football game on the streets, the footballer Kelechi Iheanacho bought water from him.
But when it was time to pay, Kelechi realized he had no money on him.
He told the boy.
The boy simply said, "It's okay, you can go."
Little did he know he was talking to Kelechi Iheanacho.
Later, when Kelechi got to his hotel, he couldn't stop thinking about the boy.
He called his team and told them:
"Go and look for that boy. Bring him and his parents to me."
That one act of kindness opened a door to a blessing beyond imagination.
When God wants to bless you, He does it in ways you never see coming!
Kindness costs nothing, but it can change a life forever.
Be kind today, you never know who God is watching.
This is the Biggest Question bordering on Insecurity in Nigeria that has not been answered.
Just as The Pere of Akugbene, His Royal Majesty Luke Pere posited, other Nigerians have continually asked questions without getting answers.
It was a pleasure today to receive, on a courtesy visit, the Team Lead, Hon. Mohammed Kabir Usman, and the Data Verification Team from the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMFAC) at Government House, Asaba. The team is in the state to ensure that the principles of equity, fairness and fiscal balance in the allocation of national resources among the states of the Federation are sustained.
I assured the team of our administration’s commitment to prudence, accountability and the transparent management of public resources. I also reaffirmed our readiness to provide all necessary support and information required for the successful conduct of the exercise.
FOR THOSE WHO FIND IT DIFFICULT TO FORGIVE: that they may realize that forgiveness and reconciliation are necessary tools for inner peace. Let us pray to the Lord.
Today, I received the leadership of the Ndokwa Neku Union, led by the President-General, Chief Comrade Amechi Asugwuni, at Government House, Asaba. Our discussion focused on power, infrastructure, and tertiary institutions. The Union apologised for the vandalisation of power facilities installed by our administration in Ndokwa Nation and pledged to protect public infrastructure across the area.
Today, we took another significant step in our Renewed Hope agenda for a modern and connected Delta State with the inauguration of three road projects spanning a combined 17.9 km in Ndokwa West LGA. These roads will enhance connectivity, stimulate economic activity, and improve the quality of life for our people.
We give God glory for the successful 2026 Thanksgiving and Praise Day ceremony held yesterday at the Dome Event Centre, Asaba, marking my third year in office as Governor of Delta State.
Today, I felicitate with children across Delta State in particular, and Nigeria in general, on the occasion of this year’s Children’s Day celebration. As children remain the future of society, I urge parents, guardians and caregivers to nurture them with sound moral values, provide quality education, and protect them from all forms of abuse.
As a government, we have domesticated the Child Rights Protection Act and introduced free medical treatment and free education at the basic and secondary school levels. As the children celebrate today, I urge them to remain focused on their education, be law-abiding, and strive for excellence.
I wish all children in Delta State a memorable and happy Children’s Day celebration.
As we celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, I felicitate with our Muslim faithful in Delta State and across Nigeria, and urge continued prayers for peace, unity, and national development. Let us uphold the values of sacrifice, compassion, charity, and peaceful coexistence, while supporting one another and celebrating responsibly.
Today, as the sole governorship aspirant of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, I participated in the primary election exercise in Ward 3, Okpe LGA. The APC governorship primary was peaceful and rancour-free across the 270 wards in the state, and I appreciate the model adopted by the party.
Addressing newsmen after the primary election, I urged those who emerged victorious to extend the hand of fellowship to their opponents. Now, we are ready and fully prepared for the 2027 general elections.
