An impact assessment will be launched by the end of 2023 to study all the consequences (economical, environmental and social) of a shark fin trade ban in Europe. If done properly, it will show without a doubt that there is no alternative to a #FinBanNow 🦈🇪🇺

Ce midi, la Commission européenne a publié sa réponse officielle à l'initiative citoyenne européenne @StopFinningEU qui demandait l'interdiction du commerce d'ailerons de requins.
Une réponse qui montre que le combat continue. ⤵️

Hooray! We did it! Congratulations to all who helped get the UK #shark fin ban over the line. From today there is a prohibition on the import and export of shark fin products into the UK. It passed into British law at midnight!
