This generation really was the best.
Dudes were absolutely murdering people on the gridiron.
Hazing was alive and well.
Bull-in-the-ring was legal in youth football.
You were conditioned and coached to have the mindset of separating people from consciousness.
Guys did whatever it took to win and there wasn’t any social media to vocalize how barbaric it all was.
The sprit of competition was at its peak.
3 truths about our time on this earth:
None of us know how much time we have. Time isn’t promised & it isn’t guaranteed.
We can’t ever save time or get it back; when it’s gone, it’s gone forever.
The time we do have can’t be stopped or paused. Appreciate the time you have now!
“Then, I met Jesus. I learned that I have a loving father who died for my sins and has a plan for my life.”
WOW! Listen to OU’s @grace_lyons5 PREACH as she says thank you to softball
I could make 100 videos and say something different every time and still would never be able to give Coach Koetting enough credit for the impact he has had on me.
I’ve crossed paths with a lot of great people & I cannot think of a better example of humility than Chris Koetting.
Sin is disobedience to God’s Word. The Bible also calls it lawlessness. When the first man and woman disobeyed God, sin came into the world and it has infected the entire human race like a cancer of the soul. God sent His Son to pay the price for our sins. He took our sins to the cross where He died and shed His blood for our sins, and He was buried. And as we approach Easter we are reminded that He rose from the grave, and He is alive! The next time He comes will be as a judge, to judge all mankind. The Bible tells us if we repent of our sins and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ by faith, we will be saved.
The Church of England voted today to “bless same-sex marriage.” They use 1 John 4:16 to defend this lawless decree: “God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them.” They are interpreting that love = sex and love gives a license to have sex with whomever they say they love. This is not what God teaches. The Church of England is blessing sin. By doing this, they are attempting to nullify Christ's atoning work on the Cross. Shame, shame, shame.
Don’t say you care about your players, but never hold them accountable or discipline them. That’s the opposite of caring. No player respects a coach whose words say one thing, but whose actions speak another. You want players to know you care? You gotta walk that talk every day!
Parents, one day our kids will also stand before King Jesus, & the top priority won’t be their…
social status,
bench press,
looks,
points per game,
hobbies,
scholarships,
or class rank.
These things are okay, but how are we investing in their soul? That has to be top priority.
None of us knows what God is doing behind the scenes. So be all in, whatever you are doing. You have no idea how He is going to use your experience as preparation for a greater purpose!
I am excited to announce that I have gotten my first football offer from Howard Payne University. I would like to thank my friends, family, and coaches for pushing me to where I am today.

The challenge is to not make the same mistake twice. Be coachable, accept coaching in a positive way, learn, grow, improve.
It's having that level of focus and energy every day. If you're just going through the motions, you're not accomplishing anything.
