1) "thooki kudikardu" - that's the norm for any Tamilan of any caste or faith. Brahmin, Dalit, Muslim, Christian whoever, if they are given anything to drink in a steel glass (which is the norm) we will automatically lift and drink. Period.

Why? It's hygienic. As simple as that.

Any one who has lived even briefly in TN will tell you this

2) not eating meat, onions etc - there's no "horizontal vertical slicing" or whatever you wordcelled. Even the poorest of the poor will not eat meat or even onions on specific days. Thursdays (Sai Baba), Saturday (Hanuman I think) and during entire months like before going to Sabarimala.

Otoh many many Brahmins these days eat meat, mostly chicken / fish.

3) all but one major "pure vegetarian" chain in TN is owned by non Brahmins and frequented mostly by non Brahmins aka the meat eaters.

A2B, HSB (dead these days), Geetham, Murugan Idly. Sangeetha is the only chain owned by a Brahmin.

If it was all about "horizontal slicing and vertical slicing" (lol), Kris, why then are these chains owned by meat eaters? Brahmins don't even form 0.5% of the population, yet these chains are crowded almost daily, so who are these magical vertically sliced superior beings crowding these "pure veg" outlets.

Egg dosa and bread omelet is carb slop with only 6-9 gm protein. Yes Poha is a carb slop as well. But if one adds cup of milk to that tea they can get 8 gm of protein as well (it can be 13 gm for specially processed milks). So at the end of the day there is no difference between two.
