I'm truly trying hard to forget I ever saw S3. In order to do this, I just can't see ANYTHING that has anything to do with it. There is zero redemption for it.
sorry i ventured off topic
so GO was a thing i have believed in, and the even vague confirmation that the ending was changed because of whatever reasons would help we to lay a great big dick on it (a lovely expression in Ukrainian)
I feel somewhat at peace with good omens.. but not really
first week was rough because every image of them, every mention of them, every thought of them made me so devastated and incredibly angry at the same time, that all of it was too much
and the thought of an end like the one we got did not scared me because I felt like it's never going to happen, because it would contradict everything that GO is
oh well..
"The ending they gave us, while technically "bittersweet", was bittersweet in the same way that adding motor oil to an affogato instead of espresso would make it bittersweet."
A great post on why the finale COULD have worked - but for a different story.
Not Good Omens.
i found a video message of me literally ugly crying and screaming after that David's comment on the end 2 years ago, and i said there that i wish they had never filmed s2, and damn, that person knew something, she definitely did.
I took a break from twitter (and well, all the social medias) for more than 2 weeks
and I'm not sure if I want to be back
those 2 weeks were very eventful, I finished writing my master thesis, and have defended it, all this while I was literally thinking about killing myself :)
all is gone and nothing changed in a way that actually mattered
i was in a state of delulu that nothing had happened, and everything has ended with s1, but i saw this beautiful analogy with a stain on Aziraphale's coat - i would always know it ends this way

The ending Terry and NG planned for a sequel book would have worked in the book.
But I feel like the show script writers didn't take into account that in making Aziraphale and Crowley's love story explicit and a central focus, it changed what the ending meant +

I think I’m start to understand why the ending is so divisive. First of all it was written for the book, for the book versions of Aziraphale and Crowley. The show didn’t even exist yet. And for them this ending feels like the best possible one it’s very true to the

those are terrible writing decisions that makes your characters feel not like themselves, which make your predominantly queer audience feel cheated and lied to

I would love to have a person to be mad at right now, but I don't think I can, or rather - obviously fuck gaiman for being a being that he is, but, obviously the ending that we've got, I mean Aziracrow sacrificing themselves, is the one that Terry had planned

the way the accents were put in first season, but especially in the second one, this doesn't feel like this version of Aziracrow. and when you know that you are planning on ending the show this way you still make "those" accents - that fuck is a terrible writing
