@raynovva tbh i've given up expecting any root problems to get fixed here, but i think a major/minor of choice system would at least let students get a bit of that side instead of losing it completely after high school
What's worse is that this whole mentality (where the "smart" students with good grades are expected to go into sciences, and the ones who are seen as lazy or underachieving get pushed into literature &humanities) made so many ppl who actually have a genuine interest in literature

so you'll often hear students (even the hardworking ones) talk about a humanities or literature subject & go "this has literally no use in real life" and it's because they're never taught WHY they're studying it in the first place, or how any of it actually connects to real life
