@TimMeek8 I agree, I wish I trained in some form of craft. At that age it felt like not going to University was some form of failure. Mainly because the UK lost its apprenticeship model. Finding an entry route at career change age seems tricky.
@Mexico1978R@maidmarian66 To put this in context the UK take 0.032% of the worlds refugees. Given the population of the UK it should be about 3x higher. This infographic is misleading.
@CJW1701_82@LBC The cast of a Panto that has a text derived from a collection of Middle Eastern and Indian folk tales, produced in a city with lower than the national average of people that describe themselves as white. Probably should have a more diverse cast.
@UKIP Brits are struggling to pay their bills because of the Tory’s looking after themselves for 12 years. Not because some people are escaping their home.
@Matt_Morrow88 @GreenwichLDN@mudlarklives@theCCCuk I'm not sure if the original article you posted had much regarding environmental politics? Who finds it difficult to look at their own choices? Shouldn't enviromental politics be about having a converstion about peoples choice so that policies and changes can be made?
@Matt_Morrow88 @GreenwichLDN@mudlarklives @Matt_Morrow88 I think the reason this post has gained so much interest is that it feels like you have strong opinons about other peoples choices? Acording to @theCCCuk it may be difficult to sell my home by 2028 without secondary heating. Changes need to be made, for sure.
@Matt_Morrow88 The study used for thie article shows that the majority of people burning wood do so because of necesity in social class' C2 and below. Not middle class.
Whilst the Kantor study was much better it is not definitive measured data. Also, industry is a greater polluter of PM2.5
@Matt_Morrow88 What data says it’s specifically middle class families and wood burning? What data are you using that is able to distinguish between the commercial pizza ovens and a 3kw stove? Do you think many middle class families are forced to up cycle old windows for a caravan home?
@emmahorne01 I hope you find ways to make things work for you. It’s not easy but finding your light at the end of a tunnel is important. Pretty sure I’ve crossed paths with your positive smiley work in Silk St. thank you for your help!
Probably the most frustrating thing about being freelance is having to simultaneously do enough jobs to pay bills, whilst also applying for future jobs (to pay future bills), whilst also doing the always-expected-but-unpaid prep for upcoming jobs, all at the same time. 🤯
@Cath_Kodicek It’d be a boring place if we were all copies of @JuliaHB1. How many children watch @BBCParliament?How many parents rejoice at the entertainment and education that @CBeebiesHQ? The BBC is just so accessible.
