Great goalpost-moving, Dave.
You accused me of defending Labor. You couldn’t substantiate it. Again.
Normally I’d leave you to it, but at $100 a post to charity, I'll make an exception.
For once, your inability to substantiate something has produced a public benefit.
I'll post 30 examples in reply below, so that’s $3,000.
I nominate the Blue Knot Foundation.
"Seen the polls lately?"
I'm glad you asked. Yes, I have!
Wilson's Coalition is 14 points lower than last time they won a Victorian election.
They're on track for their LOWEST primary vote at an election - EVER.
At this rate, they'll need either Labor or One Nation support to pass any legislation in either the upper house, or both houses - pointing to four years of chaos with the most unfriendly crossbench in recent memory.
@thanatos3058 is right: Wilson's polling (31%) is more than ten points LOWER than Brad Battin's (42%) and John Pesutto's (43%) peak.
It's lower than when Ted Baillieu was elected Premier in 2010 (44.78%), and when Denis Napthine led the Liberals to their only one-term defeat in history at the next election (42%).
Even Peter Dutton did better in Victoria in 2025 (32.2%). As did Scott Morrison in 2022 (33.08%).
Her one saving grace is that Labor has tanked harder - and that outside "vs IND" contests (where the polling averages don't hold up) most of the shift in Labor vote (10 out of 14.7 points) has gone to One Nation, with the lion's share of the rest to the Greens.
The low primary polling, and massive increase in the number of 3- and 4-cornered contests, sets the scene for perhaps the most fragile Victorian government in history.
Steve Bracks has clearly not been paying the slightest attention to the polls. L-NP are polling around 30% but Labor and ON have not been over 25 in any poll for months.
His conclusions are a case of garbage in, garbage out. #springst
Looks like the right in NZ could finish the lead with a 66-63 live count lead over the left/OPP (or if it goes up to 67 again the 67th could very well fall over.) Then it will be on the special votes in a few weeks time.
As a journalist of 25 years, and an investigative journalist of 19 years, this not only sets off my radar, but (slightly) makes me embarrassed to be an Australian. This👇 is absolute, manufactured, nonsense. Manufactured (read again) nonsense. Let’s all do better!
I’ve referred Bev McArthur to IBAC.
What began as scrutiny of her taxpayer-funded travel led to further information, and questions her parliamentary travel report didn’t answer.
This thread explains what emerged and why I made the referral. 🧵

Footscray state election plot twist.
Infamous serial politician, Catherine cumming has been spotted out tonight campaigning and putting up these posters.
Appears she's running in the state election - yet again.
Remember her "tainted" history #auspol#Springst#Footscray
Eventually the media training fails, the talking points dry up, and someone asks how you’ll fix Labor’s spending by spending even more.
Jess Wilson hoped nobody would notice before the election.
Instead, her friendly chat with Neil Mitchell became a car crash.
