In my opinion, university is the best place to learn the anatomy, physiology etc that is required to be a doctor.

Want to improve access to medicine? Improve funding for those studying undergraduate/postgraduate medical degrees.

@Xeon4f145d96s1 To me, it’s unacceptable that there are legions of capable doctors unable to get onto training pathways whilst we are facilitating ways for non doctors to work at a consultant level. I keep defending the NHS, and sometimes I just don’t know why. How does this happen?!

@litxrallybri Unlikely sadly! These are very good at picking up covid in the sense if it’s positive it’s very unlikely anything else could have falsely created the positive result, however they are also good at missing covid in the sense they often display a negative result despite infection

Proud to be Chair of the Best Department of Surgery. The University of Maryland performed the first successful pig to human heart transplant on Friday. The patient is doing well, and it’s truly amazing to be part of this type of innovation. Congrats to all on the team!
