I really like how character portraits blink during dialogue in #ShiningForce 3. It's a small detail but it really brings these characters to life.

I've been playing with my Saroo Saturn cartridge for the past few days, and I'm extremely happy with it! A lot of you are asking me if I would recommend Saroo over the Fenrir ODE, and here is my answer.
COST:
I purchased the Saroo that included a 64GB SD card for $74. The Fenrir by itself costs $140 from SaG with no SD card.
FEATURES:
The Saroo does several things! Obviously, it loads Saturn games, but it also has modchip functionality for burned, or out-of-region titles as the CD-ROM is left intact. The Fenrir replaces the ODE all together and simply acts as a drive replacement. The Saroo is equipped with a Cyclone IV, which is pretty powerful! Load times are virtually non-existent compared to the CD-ROM/Fenrir, and I imagine that additional functionality can leverage the horsepower of the FPGA on board. It also has several awesome developer options!
COMPATIBILITY:
Currently, Saroo is compatible with ~95% of the Saturn library, with that number increasing as development continues. Saroo is an open-source flash cart with many brilliant people from the Saturn Dev community contributing. The Fenrir currently has nearly perfect compatability and is closed source.
IMHO, the Saroo is too interesting to pass up. It's the real deal, and the fact that the optical drive is left intact means that it gets my vote.
MANY people ask me about the Satiator and what my thoughts are.. I've said this before and I'll say it again.. The creator of the Satiator held a several year long Patreon where he solicted money to JUST TO DEVELOP the thing. He then followed that up by offering those people (some of whom donated thousands) a few dollars off a retail unit. I ethically can't align with him or his conduct, and therefore, I will never use his product.
Just my $0.02!
It’s been two years now since I got my first ever Saturn thanks to encouragement from my dear friend @TheSEGAHolic.
I cannot articulate fully how much this system has given me. Its library is an Aladdin’s Cave - a Pandora’s Box.
You MUST play Sega Saturn. #ChangeTheNarrative
