Today’s JLPT test day in Japan and honestly, as a native Japanese speaker, I have so much respect for everyone sitting that exam right now.
Japanese is ranked as one of the hardest languages in the world. Yet here you are, showing up for it because of a goal, a curiosity, a life you’re trying to build. That takes real grit.
I know there’s a lot of noise right now around Japan’s immigration policies. And yes, there’s plenty the country still needs to fix the legal frameworks, the systems, the support structures. I won’t pretend otherwise.
But what I believe anyone, anywhere, should be able to build a better life for themselves as long as they’re respecting the rules of the place they’re in. That’s not naive. That’s just fair.
This is why I do what I do. I’m not here to just teach grammar points and vocab lists. I’m here to help people who are seriously trying to move their life forward through Japanese and to be someone they can lean on when it gets hard, not just a textbook with a pulse.
If today’s exam felt brutal, or if you’re in the middle of figuring out your path in Japan and could use someone in your corner — my DMs are open.
Good luck to everyone who tested today. がんばりましたね、ゆっくり休んでください☺️
