Public Sector Comms, House Price data releaser, Dad, West Ham fan, cyclist with more enthusiasm than skill at all of the above. Usually more charming than this
#UsykFury2 that absolutely could’ve gone either way, but that gulf in scoring is far too big. Would’ve been for either of them. Good craft from both, but absolutely shittest of the shit threads from both of them
Lads. I’ve basically spent the last two years existing rather than living. Tonight I went to the pub with an old friend and for the first time in ages I’ve felt sound. See your pals, do stuff
I’ll be interested to read further articles from @JacobSteinberg on what’s going on at the club. I’m probably way off base. But if I’m not, my punt in the dark would be to activate Jack Collison and get him in the coaching setup. (6/6)
Thinking about #WestHam’s current plight and I’m convinced there’s no-one in the coaching setup who understands the club, culturally but also the day to day and a lot of the players. I’m sure Noble does a bit, but you need a Nolan, a Pearce, someone. (1/n)
This unicorn probably wouldn’t help turn things around immediately, but I’m convinced would help long term if we’re sticking with Lop. Moyes had Nolan, Noble and Rice (and Pearce briefly) who all understood the club, not sure who Lop has. (5/n)
I predicted at the start of the season that West Ham would finish 14th at best and the manager would be gone by Christmas. Really wish I was being proved wrong.
West Ham were hugely fortunate to beat United last week. Should have been out of it at half time. Lucky penalty at the end. Today’s performance and defeat isn’t a big surprise. Same questions over the coaching and recruitment remain #whufc
My kids have got into The Adventures of Paddington cartoon over the last few days and it’s proving to be a charming little tonic to have on the TV between everything else at the moment. Even better, I’m pretty sure I’ve just heard the dulcet tones of @GuzKhanOfficial turn up
1 - Noel Whelan is the only player with all the letters of 'Halloween' in his name to make a Premier League appearance on October 31, doing so in 1998 for Coventry City. Spooky.
@SouthernRailUK Hi Ben. It was the 20:11 Victoria to Dorking (I think) service. I got off at Sutton. I was sat at the front of the 2nd carriage from the back and the bag was left on the high luggage rack on the left of the carriage above the table when facing forward
Note: I don’t think Lopetegui is a bad manager, I’m just not sure that many managers would be able to come in, change the style, overhaul the squad whilst still having Antonio and Ings as the No 9 options
My pre-season prediction was that #westham would finish 14th at best and that Lopetegui would be gone by Christmas. My hope I’d be proved wrong isn’t looking great at the moment. #whufc#TOTWHU
