al question time hai raccontato con orgoglio che sabato sei andata al supermercato a fare la spesa.
E avresti voluto dimostrare cosa, esattamente?
Che sei una persona normale?
Che conosci i problemi quotidiani delle famiglie italiane?
Che bastano due immagini tra gli scaffali per sembrare “vicina al popolo”?
Perché la differenza è semplice:
noi al supermercato ci andiamo per necessità, non per narrazione politica.
Ci andiamo facendo i conti mentalmente corsia dopo corsia.
Ci andiamo sperando che il totale alla cassa non superi quello che abbiamo sul conto.
Ci andiamo lasciando indietro qualcosa ogni settimana, perché ormai comprare tutto è diventato un lusso.
E allora dimmelo:
te ne sei accorta davvero di quanto costa vivere oggi?
Hai visto i prezzi della pasta raddoppiare negli ultimi anni?
Hai notato quanto pesa comprare carne, pesce, frutta, detersivi, pannolini?
Hai provato quella sensazione fastidiosa di prendere in mano un prodotto… e rimetterlo sullo scaffale perché “stavolta no”?
Perché è questo che fanno milioni di italiani.
Non le passerelle.
Non i video studiati.
Non le scenette costruite per i social con la musica giusta e la didascalia patriottica.
La realtà è fatta di stipendi che non bastano più.
Di pensionati che contano le monete.
Di genitori che saltano qualcosa per far mangiare i figli meglio.
Di ragazzi che lavorano tutto il mese e comunque arrivano in rosso.
E mentre la gente taglia, rinuncia, si arrangia, voi continuate a raccontare una favola dove basta una foto al supermercato per sembrare dalla parte del popolo.
Ma il popolo vero non ha bisogno di recite.
Ha bisogno di salari dignitosi, bollette sostenibili, affitti umani e prezzi che non cambino ogni settimana.
Magari la prossima volta, invece di raccontarci che sei andata a fare la spesa, prova a restare in fila alla cassa con chi deve scegliere se comprare l’olio o pagare una bolletta.
Forse lì capiresti davvero cosa significa “fare la spesa” nel 2026.
Perché trasformare anche il supermercato in propaganda politica è triste.
Ma ancora più triste è vedere persone applaudirti come se fosse un gesto eroico.
Noi non abbiamo bisogno della “premier del popolo”.
Abbiamo bisogno di qualcuno che smetta di prendere in giro il popolo !!!

Should we do more?" said Kimmel. "That's what happens when you don't play with your children."

These jokes, in addition to being hilarious, are a testament to Kimmel's courage. Trump and the rest of MAGA world have been relentlessly attacking the late night host and demanding that his show be canceled. Every time that he makes a joke, they rush to condemn him and call for his proverbial head.

But it's not just the threats to his career that Kimmel is weathering. Trump's base is full of outright lunatics. Every time that the president or one of his proxies attacks Kimmel, it makes the comedian a possible target for retribution.

Kimmel went on to reveal that Trump posted online an average of 18 times a day last month, a staggering use of time for someone who should be far busier undoing the damage he's inflicted to our economy or ending the war that he started with Iran.

"If you had a relative who was posting 18 times a day, you'd be worried about him, right?" said Kimmel. "You'd be like, what's going on with Cousin Matthew? Is he okay? Now, in fairness, Trump does take nice little naps, mostly during the national security meetings, so he is getting some sleep."

"It must be so freeing to be able to lie with no fact-checking whatsoever," Kimmel said later in his monologue. "Just say whatever you want. He's like FatGPT. He just churns out the information. Gas prices are now the highest they've been since the start of the war, at least according to the totally biased fake news at Fox Business."

"The longer this goes, the worse Trump looks," Kimmel added. "He desperately needs a way to declare victory and get out of this fast."

We should all be grateful to Kimmel for refusing to back down in this feud with Trump. The fascists win when we become too afraid to fight back.
