In my humble opinion, the disappointing thing about this #ITVDebate format is that it gives no space for proper exploration of ideas. It promotes soundbites over analysis, superficial responses over explanation. Not sure it gets us very far at a time of such national crisis.
But can you take the two super high res pictures of Nigel Farage taking a milkshake to the face, loop them and then set them to a Kelis soundtrack for two minutes whilst it slowly zooms in? Yeah, real easy.
As floods & fires rise, oceans boil & ice melts, and "safe" temperatures are breached, something momentous just happened in the heart of the EU. No one has heard about it: journalists were present, but their editors refused to publish 🤯.

1. I've long wondered how nations slide into authoritarianism. Why do people accept the loss of their freedoms? Why do they not rise up together against oppression? Now that it's happening in the UK, I think I have an answer. Thread/
The idea of eating dogs is generally considered disturbing. To be clear, I agree. However, the outrage people feel when they hear about people slaughtering dogs is the same outrage I feel when I hear about people slaughtering pigs, chickens, and fishes.
This week, we hosted a “dog BBQ” on the UC Berkeley campus. Of course, we didn’t actually kill or harm any dogs, but we tried to make it all seem very real and had plant-based “meat” cooking on a grill. We had signage advertising ourselves as part of @ElwoodDogMeat. People were outraged, confused, and some almost cried. In the end, every person we talked to agreed that it was hypocritical to love some animals while eating others. A video of the “dog BBQ” and peoples’ reactions will be coming soon. Stay tuned!
Billionaires don't wake up at 5am. Bus drivers, teachers, nurses, service workers, etc wake up at 5am. Billionaires wake up whenever they want because their wealth doesn't come from their own labor. It comes from the labor of people who will never be billionaires.
