Something else should be changed to hit such numbers. For instance, change permission for the top-level category. What does changelog say about backlog?

@LBajsarowicz @AdobeCommerce It synchronizes data for all the prices, so the number of operations is large ~ comparable with the search index. It does not use large bulks since it sends data via network, but the latest releases allow you to scale up a number of threads to spread up sync.
