On Monday, I was in a kaali-peeli taxi in Dadar, Mumbai..
Midway, the driver got a call from his native place. His daughter had met with an accident. I could see the panic instantly take over him..

While I asked him to stop the cab, his hands were shaking, his voice broke, and he immediately called his wife asking her to rush to the spot...

Later, we spoke to the person who had informed him. Luckily, the injuries were not major. She was injured (probably hand was fractured)..

The only thing I could do was to tell him to breathe easy and slow down rather than panicking..

But then came what really hit me...

He said, I want to go home. My family needs me there right now... But if I go, I won’t earn anything for 10 days. And I will need money there as well...

This hit me harder: We often talk about work-life balance, leaves, CL, PL, remote work, and mental health days.

But there are people around us whose lives don’t come with those buffers.

No paid leaves
No safety net
No backup plan
Just survival, day to day

Life is really, really different for everyone....

It keeps honking for almost 3-4 minutes and no one to attend . No ticket checking staff come in train so that crowd control can be done . Hope it reaches to concerned & necessary action can be taken.

94020 Ac local from Virar to Churchgate at 7:59 AM is late everyday . Please check the last 7 days arrivals for this Train at Andheri or Dadar . It is late always late more than 10 mins . One thing is more irritating that if the trains stops at any station

This is so pathetic from Indian Railways and Management of LTT Station. My mother aged 52 years was travelling today alone .Her train was scheduled to depart at 2.45 PM.

In the that the train is late by 1 hours approx however without any announcement of departure of train or any indicator train was departed at 5.30 left alone women stranded on the station . This is how the Railways have been working and Government talks about women .

@orient_electric this is one of pathetic experience with my recent purchase of orient fans . Fan has stopped working after one day of installation during this peak summer time . I would genuinely not recommend anyone to buy this product. Please do not go with product .
