The Sameer Project opened a bakery in Gaza City in April 2026 that provided 500 bags of bread daily. Sadly due to lack of funds, we had to close the bakery for a few weeks.

In a little corner in Jabalia, The Sameer Project team found a couple with beehives 🐝 We filmed them a few weeks ago and went back to provide support for their little business.

On July 18th, The Sameer Project team provided the beekeepers with 100 kilos of sugar, 10 frames, two beehives, 1 box of wax, 1 box of medicine for bees, 1 tarp and 1 flashlight. These were the items that the couple asked for to sustain and grow their business!

Total cost for all the goods was around $658 including the 11% commission. This amount will allow this family to make honey and sell it to support themselves and their daughter with disabilities.

The Sameer Project supports small businesses in Gaza to help provide agency for people during these difficult times. We will be doing more funding for small sustainable projects but for that we need your support.

For doctors, not helping is unnatural. They are trained to treat pain, stop bleeding, stabilize emergencies, heal wounds, and save lives. But at our Tawbah Clinic in Jabalia, our doctors have been forced to do the opposite: close our doors because we do not have the funding to treat patients. https://t.co/LLwKJegeB1

We could not afford at scale the medications their patients need. The gauze to clean and dress wounds. The oxygen needed in an emergency. The fuel to run our ambulance.

The occupation severely restricts the medicine and medical supplies allowed into Gaza, forcing us to purchase what we can from suppliers inside Gaza at high prices. But expensive does not mean optional. These supplies are necessary. They are lifesaving. It costs over $2,050 every single day to keep Tawbah Clinic operating in an area of Jabalia with no other medical support.

Imagine being a doctor, knowing exactly how to help the person standing in front of you, and being unable to do it because the money simply is not there. This is what declining donations have done.

Our doctors want to work. Our patients need them to work. Help us put the medicine back in their hands, fuel the ambulance, stock the clinic, and allow Tawbah to serve Jabalia again. Become a monthly donor to The Sameer Project’s Medical Campaign.

Before our break, on July 25, the students in our “Little Chefs” classes at our Hassan School learned how to prepare Rummaniya, a traditional dish deeply rooted in Gaza’s heritage and the ingredients the land always provides - pomegranate, eggplant, lentils. From each element of the dish to each stage of preparation, the children were not simply learning a recipe. They were learning something passed down through generations that must continue to be carried forward.

In a genocide that seeks to erase a people, preserving Palestinian culture is an act of resistance. We feed children. We teach them. We preserve their stories and traditions.

Little Khadija and children in Gaza are deprived from safety, an essential feeling for healthy upbringing. However, there are moments of joy and fun that can allow kids feel like kids even for a short while. The Sameer Project used to do regular entertainment days at camps for kids in Gaza but stopped due to lack of funds.

This video inspired us to bring back some of these entertainment days that have a significant positive impact on children in Gaza. For only a few hundred dollars, The Sameer Project can hold a fun packed day with lots of treats in a displacement camp.
