In Pope Francis’s last public address, he preached care of the marginalized, the vulnerable, and migrants, saying: “I would like all of us to hope anew and to revive our trust in others, including those who are different than ourselves.” May we heed his wish.
Ghastly attack on Saif Ali Khan brings back the sad memories of similar attack and stabbing of my brother in law while resisting robbery at his house in Bhopal by a domestic help. This cut short the life of my brother in law. Though the attacker was later apprehended y the Police and subsequently convicted by the court, we don’t know whether he is still in jail or not. Given the way our criminal justice system is liberal with the bail and paroles in cases of heinous crimes. we don’t know whether he is still behind the bars or come out to commit another crime. We can therefore understand and empathise with Saif Ali Khan and his family. Saif deserves praise and support for his valiant attempt to protect his family. He is indeed brave. At the same time I also wonder is this not cause enough for the Paparazzi to reflect and leave the celebrities especially their kids alone. We don’t know the facts yet but unnecessary publicity too attracts the attention of all kinds of people including some vile ones especially criminals. Those who entertain us are also serving the people in a way, they too deserve our respect and support.

@marksandspencer bought Physalis 15 minutes back from one of your outlets in Bromley, South East London, and this is what I get inside the freshly opened packet - fungus.

We also got to know about Noah’s Arc - from keeping wickets during childhood to leaving us in splits now.
On this day 46 years ago Ian Botham produced one of the most remarkable spells of bowling to rout Pakistan. Brought on for one over at the Nursery End to allow Chris Old to change ends, he took 7 for 14 in 13.5 overs, finishing with 8 for 34 (Birmingham Mail)

Donald Trump is threatening our democracy. First, he questioned our election system. Then, he questioned our judicial system.
