I Think I Finally Understand Why Memes Win…

Yesterday I walked past two ads, one looked like it had a $50,000 marketing budget.

Perfect lighting.
Perfect people.
Perfect smiles.

The other was a terrible meme someone had probably made in five minutes.

Guess which one I remembered?

And it got me thinking about crypto.
There are projects that spend so much time trying to look impressive that you need a 14 slide presentation just to understand what you're looking at.

Then there's Wojak.
A slightly miserable looking internet face that somehow became the unofficial employee of human emotions.😂😂😂

You don't need a whitepaper to understand: "I'm fine."

You don't need a tutorial to understand: "I should not have done that."

And you definitely don't need an explanation when Wojak is staring at a chart at 3 AM questioning every decision he's ever made.

All this makes $WOJAK interesting to me.
It's not trying to pretend the internet is perfect, it's built around something much more relatable: PEOPLE BEING PEOPLE

Crypto can be incredibly complicated. The emotions behind it aren't.
Fear, greed excitement regret hope etc.

We've all been there, maybe that's why a simple face can sometimes travel further than the most sophisticated pitch.

Because people don't always connect with perfection, they connect with something that looks like them.

And that's Wojak.

The fact is: The internet has never needed perfect. It just needed relatable.
