@StevenGlinert Having a graduate degree has absolutely 0 to do with iq. It comes down to opportunity/finances, how you were raised, and what your parents prioritized. There is no such thing as racial IQ superiority, that myth has been debunked.
@BoxLongs@specs You are underestimating how tight these hyper scales are operating. This is not the free flowing metaverse era. Budgeting is extremely important, they are tying to cut back everywhere. Spending 5-10 billion isn chump change in these circumstances, every dollar matters for AI.
@HedgeyeComm What they really should be doing is making a platform for AI creators. You wouldn't believe the views they get on youtube. Some AI movies get 10-20 million views. Also AI short dramas is going to be huge, just look at how it blew up in China.
@shlomifruchter I don't agree with you, if you can one day one shot generate an amazing book or tv show, it does not matter how it was created. Slop is when nobody wants to consume it, but if its really good and enjoyable then its not slop.
@Barry_Frequency@elonmusk@Geiger_Capital Why does it have to change? Let women have their spaces and men have their own. Plus, there are lots of men on Instagram and lots of women on X.
@matthewktromp It does not matter whether we give them chips or not, they will eventually build their own. Will take some years but the result is the same. If US does not build super intelligent AI, China will.
@accidentalorbit@hilbertspaess Lol coming from rando on internet.. your opinion means absolutely nothing, you could literally be a teenager. At least this guy is actually in the industry.
@markminervini I don't think you or anyone knows what will happen in terms of AI capability and how it is distributed in the future. Making assumptions is not smart, better to be humble and see what happens.
@GuyInSeattle1@VijayInWA FOUNDED in Seattle. SpaceX was not founded in Seattle, xAI that creates Grok was not founded in Seattle. I will make it even easier for you name a top 20 AI startup actually founded in Seattle. Answer is there is none, we completely missed the boat on AI.
@GuyInSeattle1@VijayInWA Seattle had the #1 GDP growth because of Microsoft and Amazon who because of their need to buy Data centers are not hiring and are actually laying off people. Problem is the new superstar companies are not founded in Seattle. Name a top 10 AI startup from Seattle lol
@Bunch0numb3rz@VijayInWA No the problem is worse than that, Seattle is missing the AI tech boom which should have been a mega driver for growth. None of the great new AI startups have been founded in Seattle which is insane considering the amount of tech talent in Seattle.
@GuyInSeattle1@VijayInWA Except Miami does not have a tech scene like Seattle. Go look at how much bay area houses have gone up in the last few years. There is no reason that during one of the biggest tech booms of the century, Seattle is not capitalizing. Complete failure.
@random_walker Nobody, including experts can predict the future accurately no matter how hard they try. Models could plateau relatively soon or they might accelerate to a point nobody expects. Its impossible to know what will happen. Predicting tech progress is extremely hard.
