Seeing people geek out about Speed Racer is extremely vindicating as I saw the midnight release in 2008. I always knew the movie was special, and I said for years if it was released today it'd be a hit. Now it was, and it's all rave reactions.

高速走行×近接コンボ、設計の難易度が極めて高い。

根本的な問題は、ハンドリングで相対位置がズレ続けること。レースゲームの速度域で「同じ敵に当て続ける」前提がそもそも崩壊している。 打撃感の要であるヒットストップも、移動の連続性を切るノイズになる。
結局「どの嘘を許容するか」という設計に悩む日々。
ちなみに動画のライガーは70km/h。設定の300km/hを真面目にやると無理ゲーである🤣
