This essential resource provides critical guidance on safeguarding #CulturalHeritage during crises, from armed conflicts to natural disasters.

We thank the U.S. Department of State for their continued support in safeguarding Ukraine’s cultural heritage through a generous $1 million grant! Building on the success of the first phase of our project in 2023, we are now launching a 30-month initiative that will strengthen our collaborative efforts and bolster capacities for sustainable recovery.

Through our flagship programme, First Aid and Resilience for Cultural Heritage in Times of Crisis (FAR), we will work closely with the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications, the Agency for Cultural Resilience (ACURE), the Maidan Museum, and other key partners to establish an integrated national framework for risk reduction and emergency management of Ukraine's heritage.

Thanks to this renewed U.S. support, we can scale up our efforts—improving the skills of the country’s heritage experts, helping them develop coordination mechanisms and guidelines for on-the-ground action, and standard operating procedures across sectors.

Powered by strong partnerships and shared commitment, we are not only protecting the past, but also investing in #Ukraine’s future.
