At that time we also have citizens who were minded to speak up, hence the subsequent emergence of the NCA but after that, our people seemed to fold & many, began to focus on how to join the bandwagon

@maximilianlion @Fireking_d How to change? Through a complete break from the past. Accountability should not just apply to ZanuPF but in opposition as well. Condemning wrong doing in ZanuPF while defending it in opposition is typical. The desire for change must be driven by principle not "it is our turn"

Is this indicative of a country that wants change even in the face of repeated abuse? It is not the institutions, it is the lack of sufficient desire for the right decision

@maximilianlion @Fireking_d We were the only political party to speak against the coup. We did not attend the inauguration pointing out that a tyrant had left but tyranny hadn't. That did not get us any traction. Neither did our practical manifesto. Democracy will not restore itself! Voters must want it!

Opposition members of parliament must consistently call for reforms instead of focusing on car allowances and only remembering their duty at election time. The electorate must hold elected representatives to account, in this regard.

It is also a consistent pattern of intolerance of criticism that is responded to with violence, insults, misogyny & entitlement. Take a step back & objectively look at how you criticise one & defend the other for absolutely the same behaviour. It is not helping our country at all
