મને એવો વિચાર અતિશય વિચલીત કરે છે કે કોઈ કશું ખોટું લાગે ત્યાં પોતાનો અવાજ ઉઠાવે તો એને રાજકીય ચશ્માં પહેરીને જોવાની જગ્યાએ આપણે એનાં સોલ્યુશન માટે વિચાર કેમ નથી કરી શકતા... બસ આ વિચાર પર હું અટકી ગઈ...

જૂનાગઢ યાદ આવ્યું, ત્યાં ટાઉન પ્લાનિંગની સમસ્યા યાદ આવી, પોતાનાં જૂના નગરને યાદ કરતા નાગરીકોની વાતો યાદ આવી, વડોદરામાં એ જ વાતોનું મોટા સ્વરૂપે પૂનરાવર્તન જોયું,બેથી ત્રણ ચૂંટાયેલા વર્તમાન નેતાઓની મજબૂરી જોઈ કે દરેક વખતે એટલા ફ્રસ્ટ્રેશન સાથે એ લોકો ફોન કરે કે તમે એકદમ બરાબર બતાવી રહ્યા છો પણ અહીં આનું સેટીંગ છે, અમે બોલી નથી શકતા, ઈચ્છીને પણ કશું બદલી નથી શકતા તો તમે બોલી રહ્યા છો એ જોઈને સારુ લાગે છે..

પણ... જબરદસ્ત રંજ હતો મને કે દરેક વખતે બે-ચાર વાર અને બે-ચાર દિવસ સુધી આવા મુદ્દાઓની વાત કર્યા પછી એનાં સમાધાન સુધી નથી પહોંચી શકાતું, વિશ્વામિત્રીના મગરો તો પકડાઈ જાય છે પણ એનાં કિનારે ફુલેલા ફાલેલા મગરોનું કોઈ કશું જ બગાડી નથી શકતું... બધુ માથા પર સવાર થઈ ગયું તો હું સતત મારી જાતને યાદ કરાવતી રહી કે દેવાંશી...તારો કર્મ પર અધિકાર છે, ફળ પર નહીં, કર્તવ્ય જ ધર્મ છે.

પણ સતત સમાધાન માટે મન મથતું હતું.... પછી આ વીડિયો વડોદરાનાં જ એક વરિષ્ઠ નાગરીકે મને મોકલ્યો અને જાણે જવાબ મળ્યો એ પ્રશ્નનો કે આ બધુ ક્યારે બદલાશે? જ્યારે મારે શુંનું બહાનું દુર થશે, જ્યારે કોઈનાં પગરખામાં પગ મુકતા થઈશું, જ્યારે પ્રામાણિકતાથી કોઈ જ સ્વાર્થ વિના બોલતા થઈશું, જ્યારે આખી દુનિયા તમને કોઈકને કોઈકની સાથે ચિતરીને મૂળ મુદ્દાને ભુલાવવાની કોશિશ કરતી હોય તો પણ કર્તવ્ય માટે પ્રતિબદ્ધ રહીશું... હાર્યા વિના, થાક્યા વિના, ડર્યા વિના ત્યારે એક દિવસ બધું બદલાશે.

બદલાવ પુષ્પનાં ખિલવા જેવી પ્રક્રીયા છે, એ ખુબ ધીરે ધીરે થાય છે, પણ થાય છે, જ્યારે નાગરિક પોતાનાં મુદ્દા માટે પ્રામાણીક બનશે, કોઈનાંથી ડરશે નહીં, જે દિવસે એને ફરક પડશે શહેરની નદીનાં બરબાદ થવાથી, જે દિવસે એ પ્રકૃતિનું સન્માન કરશે અને સન્માન ના કરનારને લોકતાંત્રીક રીતે દંડશે ત્યારે ફરક પડીને રહેશે.

જૂવાન જોધ દીકરો લગ્ન પહેલાં લાંબા ગામતરે સીધાવે ત્યારે ચોકમાં સાતે વરણની બાયું સાડલાના એક છેડાને છાતીએ વળગાડી, રખડતા પાલવની હંગાથે ટોળામાં છાતી પર ધબ્બાક ધમધમ કોરી હથેળી પછાડી કટાણાના નામનું રોતી હોય ત્યારે થાય કે મેઘાણી ક્યાંક આસપાસ છે !
