They admit on camera that if they followed it there would not have been an accident. But you still think LMCS should not be held accountable. Think about it.

Some people who are chronically online have adopted contrarianism as a personality trait - some without even realizing it.

But as I saw an IG comment say, right now the agenda is harm reduction - for like, the next few decades (SCOTUS seats are on the table again).

If your comments about what's best for Black people, women, other marginalized people, etc, don't include a *viable* alternative path, what's your endgame right now? I'm asking us all to consider that.

The passage in Keir Starmer's press conference about changing the mindset of the civil service to put country first, party second is important.

It was often the case, particularly under Boris Johnson, where ideas for policies or political stances came out of focus groups. They would then be elevated up to the relevant departments to be developed into Government policy, often with little regard to the implications or whether they could be delivered effectively.

Starmer's victory maybe shallow but he has five years nonetheless. He knows that for once, and for a while, he doesn't need to worry about opinion polls and what a certain portion of the electorate might think.

The appointment of James Timpson is the best example of this. He could never have announced his appointment before the election he would make a man who thought only a third of prisoners who are behind bars should actually be there because he would have been hammered by the Tories and Reform for being "soft on crime".

But our prisons are in crisis. We are on the verge of a one-in, one-out emergency plan and the Government needs to reverse this trend. Step-forward James Timpson, who has employed thousands of ex-offenders and has expertise in stopping re-offending.

An appointment that demonstrates a clear mindset change of putting sensible policies that have a chance of making a real difference over whatever a focus group might think.

On April 30, someone tried to sabotage the Finance building by removing a valve from a pump line on the top floor, causing water to overflow to lower floors. Thankfully, our CCTV camera crew detected the leak and the person was caught and arrested before serious damage was done
