@Lythcan What makes me wonder is this: why do they even bother doing any of that to a person who can come back with receipts? It's so easily debunked and entirely falsifiable. Waste of time.
*tilts head*
Well ain't that just the darndest thing, coming so close to National Day for CN...

hey guys, quick update (on the game update, lol) (i'm very tired and my sleep debt has gg'd me so this will be brief)
TL;DR
- Still in the game: yes, right now: 96 of the 106 tracked XL bundles are physically on the device, and 98 of 106 are still listed by the client's own installed catalog.
- In the pre-download: no; the update's payload contains 0 of 106 XL bundles, and the catalog it SHIPS lists 3 — i.e. 95 XL bundles are dropped by this update and none are added.
- "They added more stuff for him": partly, at the config layer only; 4 XL-shaped rows arrive and no XL bundle does
- "Login event for all 6 LIs": the event is real, the 6-LI part is not shown; it's a `CycleLogin` activity and `Anniversary3`
Also, Nightglow situation:
voice registry: NightGlow_XL: present in every served body from 1.7.1548 through 1.7.1554, absent from 1.7.1555 on (the 1555 body is what reaches clients inside 1556) sound-event table: SFX_Activity_NightGlow_RoleSelect_XL: present at 1555/1556 (identical bodies), gone at 1.7.1557 — where the NightGlow name count drops 108 -> 103 and the RoleSelect keys go from FY/RY/ST/XL/YG/YS to FY/RY/ST/YG/YS. atlas sheet list: the per-LI a2_activity_nightglow_*_xl paths (8 at the 1555/1556 generation) and his five a2_headicon_nightglow_XL_* chat heads go to 0 at 1.7.1557 in the same whole-file re-cut (240 XL-ish tokens -> 0). card-lighting config rows (AnimCard_Act_Other_XL* 39 + 2 LUT_XL*): present in the 1557 pre-image, 0 in the 1557 arrivals — the five living LIs are untouched there (RY even grows 142 -> 144).
A quick note at the end so people stop being deranged: data mining is not illegal (unless you are in the US and decrypting content) and reverse engineering is protected under the Software Directive in the EU. Thanks, also please stop spreading misinformation, I'm already tired and I still have to write like 5 articles about the broader CN regulatory context and game industry and I really don't know how I'm gonna get that done since some people keep spreading baseless rumors that are easily verifiable. Please just think for yourself.
Asking for receipts =/= asking for copyrighted content. Asking for a string/path is text, not copyrighted content, and that's protected free speech.
thank u goodbye

‼️‼️OK, I need to explain something, because there's a real misunderstanding about the DAU metric when it comes to this game specifically.
And hopefully I can help some people who are having a hard time deciding if they want to break their streak in order to login and complain on the survey lol.
Let me be very clear first: I am not saying DAU isn't important. It's how every live-service game gauges interest and retention, and LADS is no exception.
👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻So, when the JJP/radicals starts to take this out of context, because we all know they are, you can clearly see my warning right here of what I’m saying.
Now that’s out of the way:
In competitive gachas, anything with PvP, arena, leaderboards… whales spend to beat other players. More active users means a bigger pool to dominate, which means more whale money. So DAU leads revenue.
LADS has no PvP and no power gap. People spend because a specific character's limited card is on a banner, not because of how many other people logged in that day. You can see it in the data: Sensor Tower's weekly numbers swing two to three times within a single quarter, following the banner calendar rather than the player count.
So the metric that actually moves for Infold is revenue per banner. A strong DAU with a weak banner is a bad month for them. A soft DAU with a strong banner is a great one.
They also are very acutely aware that they have cracked the code when it comes to emotional attachment to their product. I just wanna throw that out there as well.
So, with that being said, ‼️I think it’s 100% worth breaking your no login streak to go fill out that survey if you are capable of not spending.‼️
Just as long as you ✨don’t spend✨, you’re doing fine. One day logging in is not going to break the boycott.
Obviously, though, ✨if you know yourself, ✨and 😡you cannot refrain from spending😡, 👏do 👏not 👏fucking 👏login. 👏👏👏👏👏👏LMAO.
Just stay away if that’s the case
Because the truth is they absolutely have enough complaints through customer service, emails, ratioing, etc.
The login for the survey is not essential by any means lol. Just good to do if you are capable of doing it.

Also as someone who is an activist in my real offline life participating in many boycotts and protests over the years-- a 100% "all or nothing" mentality that you enforce on others absolutely hurts the movement. Any movement will burn out that way. (1/2)
It’s funny how certain people thought the multi would shake people so much that they could rope them into stupid actions with fear mongering, emotional manipulation and basically harassment.
As if we didn’t see it coming from a mile away. Stay vigilant people. Don’t lose your morals over a video game.
And don’t let your emotions let you be manipulated.
Don’t worry in the chart rn they genuinely have no competitor lol. If they released the update tomorrow along side genshin believe me they would have 0 chance. Speaking of which tomorrow update 🤩
@Diathemond Feel free to add me too 💕 I always recommend the BBN(Big Barkcott News) Discord if you're looking for a community of reasonable people who care about fact-checking and are also ridiculously warm 🥺
That can't be confirmed, I think. I just briefly read up on the rules and it seems like it's more complicated than this (in the US and Europe): technically you do need to secure licenses for images and logos (liability lies rests on the advertiser), but practically the company will take your money and run the billboard unless they receive a takedown notice from the copyright owner. The most logical explanation for me seems to be that PPG simply didn't bother taking them down + I think it worked in their favor. I imagine if PPG did take them down, it'd result in another PR crisis of 'PPG silences fans asking for canceled character'.
Well, you can wait for until after maintenance but the last time I analyzed a version (they hotfix between them, it's a version that's served but just never reaches the live client) before it, not much has changed; same happened for this one. Not a rule, but... it seems like they just fix minor issues before it goes live. 🤔
