I was a DFB instructor for two years ((2020 && 2021)) && it was an extraordinary experience! The work you do, the people you meet and the impact you can have is more than I can say in a tweet. Apply if you can! 👩🏽🍳💋
Now accepting instructor applications! #Gradstudents & #postdocs from all departments & disciplines of @UMich who are interested in teaching are encouraged to apply! Just scan the QR code! To learn more, join us for an info session on August 22 at the BSRB at 1:00pm.
I love this group. So happy to have been able to participate in DFB again and actually get to see and meet students in person. I’m so grateful to have been an instructor in the pandemic and make it happen for those amazing students too but this was also special :) #DFB2022 💙💛
Day 3 of DFB kicked off with the return of the Wnt Dance (@sbarolo) and a wonderful discussion with our grad student panelists (@applejackz88, previous DFB instructor, included). The #DFB2022 crew then learned about #celegans and #imagej!
Day 2 of #dfb2022 is in the books!! TA Andrea Rodriguez Ramos (@dreitta26) have a killer lecture on Notch signaling to follow-up on Dr. Ben Allen’s Cell Signaling lecture. Then, we identified lacZ mutant embryos!!
It’s HAPPENINGGGG!!! #DFB2022 is underway, and we’re so excited to see our students for a week of #devbio. Go blue!! (@chemiscream @JayMoltzau, pictured)
A review by Kirsten Brenner from our lab on the consequences of replication stress at telomeres and how DNA repair pathways acting at telomeres can contribute to genomic instability. This was ALL KIRSTEN and is a testament to her outstanding critical thinking and writing skills
The structure of human telomerase-POT1-TPP1-DNA from @KellyTHD_Nguyen lab is out! https://t.co/a8ANRWb9pD. We are SO GLAD that our past data are beautifully explained by the structure. Here is a thread with our past data and their alignment with the structure.
MD-PhD student Jackie Graniel @applejackz88 successfully defended her Ph.D. yesterday! What an amazing journey she's had. Proud of her outstanding research accomplishments and incredible #DEI work on campus & beyond. @UMich_MCDB@SacnasUMichigan@UMCDB
