Congratulations CWP Urgent Care mental health First Response services and Martin Gallier on being shortlisted for the HSJ Partnership awards!! True collaboration @Craig_OT@amrithshetty@cwpnhs
On 'diversion from a&e'. Firstly, a sense of scale: MH accounts for ~3% of a&e activity and MH attendances havent increased. Id suggest that yes, we can and are doing more to meet more needs away from a&e, but this is likely to have relatively little impact on overall pressures
Fab visit to meet @cwpnhs 24/7 crisis line colleagues and our crisis cafe partners @number71chester thank you for sharing your really positive transformative patient and member stories and #firstresponse plans for the future. Thank you for everything you do.
Take home messages for me from the @cwpnhs rehab away day
1. A key function of rehab is to build hope & a key skill is building relationships.
2Ideal setting for rehab is in ones own home within their own community.
3We need to start prescribing PRN meaningful interaction.
Proud to be involved with such an innovative and forward thinking team whose drive is based on patient centred care, improving quality of life and hope for the people we support.
Had a fantastic day with the community rehab team @cwpnhs (MhIST). The commitment, passion and strong team ethos was striking. We are going to be embedding peer supported open dialogue into our daily practice @lucymahon_ot@appo1977@ConnorJohston@AnushtaS
It has been difficult and challenging for our staff on #MH inpatient wards but they have #adapted and wonderfully risen to the challenge of #C19. @cwpnhs
