The iOS inde dev community is awesome, but sadly more and more are turning to shady tactics to try and boost revenue, charging huge amounts through dark patterns for crappy, basic experiences. Apple need to crack down on this.
@upbeat_dev@IM_Kevin_Archer@upbeat_dev which countries do you recommend targeting? I’ve found non-US countries less likely to convert to paid subscriptions.
I built a dashboard that combines data from Apple Search Ads, RevenueCat and Google Analytics that automatically updates daily with a snapshot that features:
1. A daily health score across my key metrics
2. Ad spend and performance
3. Onboarding performance
4. Active trials not yet cancelled
5. Estimate upcoming revenue from active, non-cancelled trials
Starting an experiment where I give Claude all my past Apple Search Ads and RevenueCat data to create a new Apple Search Ads campaign. Keyword selection, starting bids, geo plan will all be selected by Claude. Will fund $30 per day initially and report back results #apple #applesearchads #ios #indie
@KarasevDanil Mainly organic, I’ve experimented with Apple Search Ads, but really difficult a direct correlation between ad spend and increased revenue. Organic growth seems to be boosted, but direct attribution is not amazing.
So far the key genuinely useful feature on @twostraws Kickstart macOS app is the ability to automagically apply suggested pricing across all markets with one click. What else are #ios folks using it for? #ios#indiedev
According to Apple's official 2026 fiscal calendar:
Apple's "May" ended on Saturday, May 30.
Apple's "June" started on Sunday, May 31.
So, any money you made on May 31st is actually considered the very first day of your June 2026 financial period. You won't see those earnings in the May statement, and you won't receive the cash for them until the early August payout.
