The CPI and CPI(M) have accused the TDP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in Andhra Pradesh of using official machinery and police to prevent the candidates of opposition parties from filing nominations for local body elections. They exhorted the voters to defeat the TDP-JSP-BJP alliance in the elections.

Andhra Pradesh: Tension gripped Chilakaluripet on Friday as nominations for ZPTC and MPTC seats got under way, with YSRCP leaders alleging that former minister Vidadala Rajini fell to the ground in a scuffle with police outside her residence.
The trouble began when police stopped Yadlapadu ZPTC candidate Pandula Bullabbai at the gate of Rajini's house.
Rajini questioned why people visiting her home were being prevented from entering.
In the exchange that followed, a scuffle broke out between her and Chilakaluripet Rural Sub-Inspector Priyanka, and Rajini fell, YSRCP sources alleged.
There was no official response from the police at the time of filing.

Yet another shocking video from Andhra Pradesh - Former Minister Vidadala Rajini being shoved by SI Priyanka, causing her to fall.
Rajini was trying to hand over a B-form to YSRCP's Yadlapadu ZPTC candidate Pandula Bullabbayi when she was stopped. This happened while she was reportedly under house arrest.
SI Priyanka's brazen behaviour is being widely questioned. Lawlessness is the new law?
Hello India, look at Andhra!
The police acted high-handedly against former minister @VidadalaRajini Garu, showing no regard for the fact that she is a woman, while she was on her way to help YSRCP to file their nominations.
Respected @AmitShah ji, Is this the respect the coalition government claims to give women?
In a democratic country like India, don’t citizens have the right to file their nominations @umasudhir@dhanyarajendran@thulasichandu1??
#WATCH | Tadepalli, Andhra Pradesh: YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy says, "When the ULB elections took place, there were 19 locations where these people actually went ahead and did not permit YSRCP candidates to file nominations. So, we went to the Supreme Court and asked the Supreme Court to intervene and permit us to file nominations... Now, what has happened? The Election Commission has permitted only four out of those 19 locations, and even in those four locations, two are only partial. Now, the Election Commission under the Chandrababu Naidu government has once again deteriorated to a level where, in spite of the Supreme Court's verdict, these authorities have used scrutiny as a tool to go further ahead and debar candidates in another four municipalities..."
He further adds, "...Without A-forms and B-forms, they have randomly shown inflated numbers just to hoodwink the Supreme Court or the High Court, increasing the numbers to suit their convenience. Ultimately, all these people will be rejected because there are no A-forms or B-forms. But they want to hoodwink the courts—both the High Court and the Supreme Court—subvert the electoral process, and go ahead and commit outright forgery..."
As if the credibility crisis of ECI isn't already bad enough, in NDA-ruled Andhra Pradesh poll process for local body polls has been reduced to a violent joke.
Candidates, largely from Opposition YSRCP, blocked, papers snatched away as police stand by. Women candidates have been attacked.
A TDP MLA is caught on camera calling on his cadres to “break the legs” of those coming to file nominations.
