Today I am posting four videos of a brave, courageous, common Indian woman who has gone viral across India.
Why?
Because she did what most of us feel… but rarely say.
A political rally blocked the roads for hours. Commuters were stuck. Chaos everywhere. And this woman? She just wanted to pick up her child from school.
But when patience ran out, she stepped forward.
She questioned the system. She questioned politicians. She questioned the police.
And she asked the most powerful question:

“Who are you to block these roads? Just get out and clear them.”

No slogans. No politics. Just a citizen demanding accountability. We need this courage.We need more voices like hers.Because democracy doesn’t just survive on votes , it survives on citizens who dare to ask questions.

Student - Sir, is it necessary to know a subject before speaking on it?

Apoorvanand - Of course not. One can talk rubbish on any topic without the slightest knowledge.
But there is one problem.

Student - What problem sir?

Apoorvanand - "You are not on an election stage or inside a birthday party. There you can say anything from ‘the internet existed in the Mahabharata’ to ‘China se mera purana rishta tha’ and still get away with it.

But this is a classroom. In an academic platform your arguments must stand on evidence, not imagination. You can’t throw random claims on trust me bro and expect respect in return."

And that is exactly the point.

You can say SM like X or Insta is anything but a platform of serious discussion. So she here can target a person who takes risks not just to his livelihood but to his life to stand by his convictions in a climate where silence is safe - and that also without providing a shred of truth, any evidence.

Reducing that courage of a person to “business” is not criticism - It’s ignorance, naivity and utterly nonsense dressed as insight.

And therefore the foundation of her statement has been well understood that it has derived from her arrogance not from insight. And arrogance is the thing that reduces even a wise person to a laughing stock.

Therefore they are not serious takes. People should enjoy reading her texts instead of strong reactions.

बंगाल में भयंकर अकाल पड़ा है। गाँव खाली पड़े हैं, लाशें बिछी हैं। अंग्रेजी ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी और उनके साथ खड़े बंगाल के मुस्लिम नवाब-जमींदार मिलकर जनता का खून चूस रहे हैं।

इसी बीच जमींदार महेन्द्र अपनी पत्नी कल्याणी और छोटी बेटी के साथ जंगल के रास्ते निकला है।अचानक डाकू टूट पड़ते हैं। लूटपाट होती है।

बचने की भाग-दौड़ में पति-पत्नी बिछड़ जाते हैं।

इसी जंगल में छिपा है “संतान” नाम का संगठन।

ये हथियारबंद वैष्णव संन्यासी दल है। इनका एकमात्र लक्ष्य- हरि बोलो, यवन संहार करो, मातृभूमि को मुक्त करो।

इनका युद्धघोष- “वन्दे मातरम् !

मठ का नाम है आनंदमठ। माँ भवानी की मूर्ति के सामने भारत-माता का नक्शा रखा है। सभी संन्यासी योद्धा उसे माँ कहकर पूजते हैं। इसी की पूजा होती है। सब गा रहे हैं

मातृभूमि-तुझे नमस्कार
मातृभूमि-तुझे नमस्कार

जो जल से समृद्ध है, फलों-फसलों से भरपूर है,
मलय पर्वत की ठंडी हवा से शीतल है,
जो हरी-भरी फसलों से काली-हरी दिखती है
जिसकी रातें शुभ्र चाँदनी से पुलकित होती हैं,
जिनके वृक्षों की डालियाँ खिले फूलों से सुशोभित हैं,

महेन्द्र इसी आनंदमठ पहुँचता है।

यहाँ संगठन प्रमुख सत्यानंद समझाते हैं- यवन इस देश को 700 साल से लूट रहे हैं। ये विदेशी हैं, इनका मजहब यही है कि काफिरों को मारो, औरतें उठाओ, मंदिर तोड़ो।

इनसे दया नहीं, इनका पूर्ण संहार ही हमारा धर्म है।

महेन्द्र डरता है, पर जब उसकी पत्नी-बेटी भी मठ में मिल जाती है तो वह भी संगठन से जुड़ जाता है। पत्नी तो आत्महत्या करने की कोशिश करती है ताकि पति की देश-सेवा में बाधा न बने..

बहरहाल संगठन नवाबी-मुस्लिम फौजों पर हमला करता है। अंग्रेजों के लिए जा रहा खजाना लूटता है। मारकाट के दृश्य को एक पात्र दूसरे को बताता है- “संतान तलवारें लिए दौड़े और यवन सिपाहियों, उनकी औरतों-बच्चों तक को काट डाला।”

अंग्रेज और उनके यवन.. अर्थात मुस्लिम सहयोगी भाग खड़े होते हैं।
संतान जीत जाते हैं,

यह आनंदमठ है। बंकिमचन्द्र चट्टोपाध्याय ने लिखा था।

बंकिम बाबू कलकत्ता में बनी भारत की पहली यूनिवर्सिटी के 1856 बैच के ग्रेजुएट थे। पहली बैच के पहले 3 ग्रेजुएट में से एक, और 1858 में ही सरकारी नौकरी लग गई।

वे 1892 तक अंग्रेजी सेवा में रहे। ब्रिटिश सरकार में डिप्टी मजिस्ट्रेट थे - यानी आज का डिप्टी कलेक्टर या SDM. भारतीयों को उपलब्ध यह उस ज़माने में सबसे ऊँचा प्रशासनिक पद था।

पर अपनी साहित्यिक अभिरुचि की वजह से, 1882 में उन्होंने यह उपन्यास लिख तो दिया, मगर ब्रिटिश सरकार का भयंकर दबाव झेलना पड़ा। दूसरे संस्करण में उन्होंने भूल सुधार किया।

तो जहाँ पहला संस्करण मुस्लिम और ब्रिटिश शासकों दोनों के प्रति एक-समान क्रोध दिखाता था। लेकिन दूसरे संस्करण में ...

अचानक एक दिव्य पुरुष प्रकट हो जाता है।

नये संस्करण में जब संतान जीत जाते हैं, और अंग्रेज और उनके यवन, अर्थात मुस्लिम साथी भाग खड़े होते हैं। ठीक उसी रात एक चमकते वस्त्र वाला रहस्यमय “दिव्य पुरुष”, बाबा सत्यानंद के सामने प्रकट होता है।

कहता है - “तुमने यवनों (मुसलमानों) को तो भगा दिया, किंतु अंग्रेजों का विरोध मत करो। क्योंकि हिन्दू समाज अभी अज्ञानी, कमजोर और फूट से भरा है। यदि आज अंग्रेज चले गए तो फिर मुसलमान या कोई और विदेशी आ धमकेगा।

वह स्पष्ट कहता है - अंग्रेजी राज्य से अंग्रेजी शिक्षा आएगी, ज्ञान-विज्ञान आएगा। जब हिन्दू फिर से शक्तिशाली और एकजुट हो जाएगा, तभी सच्चा स्वराज्य लाना। अभी आनंदमठ भंग कर दो।

ये दिव्य वाणी सुनकर सत्यानंद रो पड़ते हैं।

लेकिन आज्ञा मान लेते हैं। अगले दिन सभी संन्यासी हथियार डालकर गृहस्थ जीवन में लौट जाते हैं। आनंदमठ हमेशा के लिए भंग हो जाता है।

वहाँ वन्दे मातरम् की बहस पर पूरे 10 घण्टे का समय दिया गया है।
अगले दो दिन टीवी, सोशल मीडिया अखबारों में इस विषय की निरर्थक बहस उसी तरह खप जाएँगी,

जैसे पिछले लगभग 4800 दिन याने लगभग 12 साल एक-एक करके बेमतलब बहसों की बलि चढ़ चुके हैं।

पर एक गीत संस्कृत में है।

उस किताब में मुस्लिमों के लिए गाढ़ी नफरत, और अंग्रेजों के शासन के लिए आज्ञाकारी बनने का संदेश है। जो हमारी पूरी साझा सांस्कृतिक विरासत और आजादी के आंदोलन को नकारने वाला दस्तावेज है,

जो एक कालातीत हो चुका टाइम कैप्सूल है — मौजूदा राजनीति का बाइबल बनाने की कोशिश हो रही है।

संसद आनंदित मठ तो बन ही गयी है। उसके पटल पर आज, आपके सामने चमकते वस्त्र वाला रहस्यमय “दिव्य पुरुष” वैसे ही प्रकट होगा, जैसे उस नॉवेल में बाबा सत्यानंद के सामने प्रकट होता है।

Hello @sudhirchaudhary, it is a very good practice to ask questions, wish you had practised this where it mattered.

Anyway, coming back to the question. Why use a VPN? There are many reasons to use one if you can afford it. I have been using a VPN for three to four years. My phone is permanently connected to a VPN, and my laptop is also often connected, including right now while I am writing this post.

I use a VPN provider (Mullvad) which does not log any of my data. This is supported by regular third-party audit reports accessible on the VPN provider's website. A VPN ensures that my ISP or any open network I might use in a coffee shop cannot log my browsing data. I use a VPN mainly as a privacy measure because I do not want my data to be harvested.

We live in a world where data is collected round the clock and algorithms target us in multiple ways. I want to make that more difficult. A VPN is not the strongest method for this. Better tools exist, for example the Tor Browser or a Tor router, but one has to weigh the pros and cons and decide how much privacy and security one wants and how much inconvenience one is willing to deal with.

My VPN provider also supports ad blocking, which makes it harder for ad-tech companies to target me with advertisements. Of course, a VPN does not stop platforms from tracking you if you are logged in to their services, but it still cuts off one major source of data collection, which is the ISP.

I also use a VPN because the Indian government has withheld access to accounts such as HindutvaWatch, which do important work, and I want access to those accounts. I do not want my government deciding what I can or cannot see. It is not their prerogative.

A VPN is one of the many tools I use for my digital hygiene, the same way people use privacy-friendly browsers and tracker blockers. Surveillance capitalism runs on constant data extraction, and tools like VPNs make that surveillance just a little harder.

Of course, people misuse privilege, and there are people who use a VPN to carry out illegal activities and hide their tracks. For example, you are also misusing your privilege. You get your salary from taxpayers' money, but instead of asking questions on behalf of the taxpayers, you are asking questions to the taxpayers. Just because some people misuse their privilege does not mean everyone does.
