Aneuploidy is the leading cause of pregnancy loss. In our study (https://t.co/L4ZXZv3Gwp) led by undergrad Angela Yang, we used a simulation framework to infer rates of meiotic (39-43%) and mitotic errors (1-3% per division) that best explain data from human IVF embryo biopsies.

Another question from a student that I don't have a good answer for (chatgpt also struggled) - in the genetic code why do some amino acids have only one codon (eg Met, Trp), whereas others get six (eg Ser)?
