Trump doesn't want to hide anymore. He is Putin's business partner (a junior one!) and thus an accomplice in Russian crimes against humanity in Ukraine. And a reminder to members of Trump's administration, especially those who are planning to run for their boss's office in 2028—you will not be able to wash the blood of innocent Ukrainians from your hands. We see you and we will not forget, forgive, or let anyone else forget.
@BlakePritchar10@Kasparov63 I view Hamas as an extremist terrorist group. Sorta like a larger, more sophisticated, version of the proud boys. Palestine:Hamas, America:Proud boys. I don't think America is to be punished for the sins of the proud boys. Palestinine shouldn't be punished for sins of Hamas
@Kasparov63 I really struggle to see the link from pro Palestine to antisemitic. I think people can recognize that Netenyahu has been particularly barbaric in his quest to cleanse Gaza without straying into the realm of straight up hating Jews.
@TheEconomist I think what's actually more fascinating here is how flat democrats' anxiety is regardless of neighbors. The idea that surrounding yourself with like minded people reduces anxiety isn't surprising or interesting.
@Kasparov63 Not that I agree/disagree with socialist ideas but how is this different from defense spending? it's pretty common knowledge that the DOD spends all of their money every year, often on stuff they don't need, just to make sure they get the same or more funding the next year.
Before #FIFA start pumping the propaganda tonight and telling us all how amazing this #WorldCup has been, let’s remember they oversaw:
- highest ticket prices ever and took a cut from resale sites.
- did nothing about Somalian referee and dozens of staff who were banned from entering the US for no legitimate reason.
- stood by as Iran were forced to train outside the US and travel in on match days.
- overturned red cards after phone calls with the president.
- Americanised the beautiful game with hydration (TV) breaks and 25 mins half time in the final
- guided Argentina through the tournament with less travel, VAR support and blatantly turning a blind due to their aggression and foul play.
@EYakoby@Kasparov63 I think some Roman emperor said something along the lines of "the best way to win over the enemy is to make them not want to fight you" *paraphrased, of course
