@audowla You mean the impact of moral policing on women? Its pervasiveness? I hope you are right, but as participation rates have stagnated/declined in recent years, I wouldn't bet on an improvement during the next 2-3 years of political uncertainty, and its impact on FDI and trade.

Couldn't agree more. Its been true for years. Unfortunately in Bangladesh, the number of women in the workforce has been on the wane. General insecurity, and viral media showing moral policing against women, won't help. Goes to show how fast things can change. For better or worse

Or you can consider the 6-8 lowly paid, untrained tourist police responsible for that stretch of beach. The latter is the scarier reality.
